Terms

The words, the design and the code here are mine. The client work shown belongs to those clients. Have a read and take ideas, just don’t copy the site wholesale.

Every price on the services page is a starting point, not a fixed quote. The real number comes in writing once I know what the job actually involves.

All prices are in Australian dollars. I’m not registered for GST, so there’s no GST added to anything I charge, and none for you to claim back.

• Half the price up front, half before the site goes live. Never after.
• The deposit isn’t refundable. It’s what reserves your spot in the queue.
• Two rounds of changes are included. Anything past that gets quoted before I start it, so you’re never billed for something you didn’t agree to.
• The number of pages is set in your written quote.
• I need your photos, and your words if you’re on the landing page tier, within 14 days of starting.
• If I’ve had nothing after 30 days the project pauses and goes back in the queue at whatever my availability is then. No restart fee, as long as your invoices are paid up.

• Your first month is included with the build.
• After that it bills monthly in advance and keeps running until you stop it.
• Cancel any time. No notice period, no exit fee. Your plan runs to the end of the month you’ve already paid for.
• Tell me before the included month is up and nothing gets charged at all.
• I don’t reply to reviews for you. If you want one on your site as a testimonial, tell me in writing and I’ll put it up.
• Essential, Plus and Advanced include 30 minutes, an hour and two hours of changes a month. Unused time doesn’t roll over. Anything past it gets quoted first, at $135 an hour.
• If the site breaks or gets compromised, I put it back from its saved history at no charge, and that never comes out of your included time. Something that breaks on the side of a service in your own name, like a payment or booking provider, a change you ask for because of it, or a site someone else has altered, gets quoted first.
• A site that takes payments or bookings, or has a member area, needs to be on Plus or above while those parts are live, so they get checked every month.
• On Advanced you get one improvement to the site a month, picked from what your visitors are actually doing and agreed with you if it changes words or photos. It comes out of your included time. Anything bigger gets quoted first.

• Growth Partner is marketing on top of a care plan. What’s in it and what it costs is agreed in writing before it starts.
• The first three months are a minimum, billed monthly in advance. After that it’s month to month and you can stop any time, with no exit fee, at the end of the month you’ve already paid for.
• Any advertising spend is paid by you straight to the platform. It never passes through me.

• Homepage only, not a full site.
• One design direction, not a set of options to pick from.
• It stays my work until you pay for a build. Then it’s yours like everything else.
• No cost, and no obligation on either side.

Your domain, your content, your photos and the finished site are yours. I will never hold your domain to stop you leaving. If you do leave I’ll help you move everything, free.

The one thing I keep is the right to show the work in my portfolio and write about it.

I build sites that load fast and are set up properly for search engines. I can’t promise you a position on Google, a number of enquiries or a sales figure. Nobody honest can.

Hosting goes down occasionally, mine and everybody else’s. I monitor it and I fix it, but I’m not liable for money lost while a site is down or for anything outside my control.

I’ll update it when things change, and the date at the top tells you when I last did. Your signed agreement doesn’t change just because this page does.
