Double Picc Espresso

Website for Double Picc Espresso, a cafe with a catering side at Campbell’s Corner in Muswellbrook. Four pages built around the hand-drawn mural behind the counter, so people can see it’s a cafe, catering gets the room it needs and locals can find it.

Before and after

The old Double Picc Espresso website: one website builder page, with a photo of the mural and a cookie banner over the corner. The new Double Picc Espresso website: the mural as a line drawing behind the headline, with buttons to order online and ask about catering.BeforeAfter
Before: the old single page as visitors saw it, cookie banner and all. After: the new homepage, live since October 2026.

The problem

Double Picc had a single page on a website builder. The new site had three jobs, in this order. First, make it obvious it’s a cafe and not the music shop upstairs. Then turn catering into a real part of the business instead of a footnote. Last, help people in Muswellbrook find it when they search for a coffee or something to eat.

What we did

The idea came from the cafe itself. Behind the counter is a hand-drawn mural of the shop, and the site’s line drawing is traced from that wall. It draws itself in on the first screen, then the line carries on down every page, so the site looks like the place you walk into. Catering got its own page, with an enquiry form that goes straight to the cafe’s inbox. Ordering online goes through the cafe’s LOKE page. The cafe doesn’t take bookings, by choice, so the site says it plainly: walk in, no bookings needed.

The result

The site went live in October 2026, so it’s too new for honest numbers. For now it shows the cafe as it is, puts the menu and ordering a tap away on a phone and gives catering a proper place on the site. It sits on the same foundation as every site we build, so when we improve something, Double Picc gets it too.

“Kindred Web Design is absolutely amazing, did all the heavy lifting for getting a website started. And looks amazing, Ben was extremely professional and helpful for us. Cannot speak highly enough of him!”
Reuben, Double Picc Espresso

At a glance

  • The line drawing is traced from the mural behind the counter. It draws itself across the first screen, then carries on down every page
  • Catering has its own page and enquiry form, and enquiries go straight to the cafe’s inbox
  • Order online takes you to the cafe’s LOKE ordering page
  • Walk in, no bookings. The site says so plainly, because that’s how the cafe runs
  • Four pages: home, menu, catering and about

If your own site needs the same kind of rebuild, the build options and pricing are on one page.
